Chapter 3 - The Four-Year-Old Who Became Afraid to SpeakElla stopped behaving like herself.

She avoided the swimming pool.
She refused to wear anything orange.
Whenever Celeste entered a room unexpectedly, Ella became silent.
Grant believed she was traumatized by the “accident.”
Celeste encouraged that explanation.
But one evening Ella asked:
“Where's Rosie?”
Grant told her Rosa no longer worked for them.
Ella's eyes filled.
“Rosie helped me.”
Grant paused.
Celeste interrupted before Ella could say more.
Meanwhile Rosa showed the forged document to attorney LYDIA SHAW.
Lydia immediately noticed something disturbing.
Rosa's signature was not merely similar to an old signature.
It appeared identical.
Someone had copied it from one of her original employment forms.
Maya had received a separate termination notice.
Unlike Rosa, however, she had something extremely important.
Her phone still contained the message she had sent Grant before he returned home.
Its timestamp proved the two housekeepers had raised the alarm before any accusation against them existed.
Rosa also told Lydia something else.
Several days before the pool incident, she had found two unusual invoices inside Grant's home office.
