Chapter 13 - Lucas Comes BackLucas returned to Westbridge voluntarily.

Not as a student.
To speak with investigators.
He was sixteen.
Thin.
Angry.
Nothing like the arrogant villain students described online.
He admitted participating in Aaron’s intimidation.
Admitted lying.
Admitted knowing his father offered the Blake family help.
Then said:
“My mom made it worse.”
Investigators asked how.
Lucas explained Mrs. Parker kept telling him:
“You were protecting yourself.”
“You’re the real victim.”
“They want to destroy our family.”
Every consequence became persecution.
Every criticism became attack.
Lucas began believing accountability itself was unfair.
Then he said:
“I left because I couldn’t stand being around her.”
Not expelled.
Not exactly.
His father transferred him after district investigators recommended formal disciplinary action.
Mrs. Parker blamed Mia’s family because blaming them allowed her to avoid what Lucas had actually done.
That revelation changed Mia.

Mrs. Parker had poured food over her because she could not punish the son who had rejected her version of events.
Mia had become substitute target.
